This short Sikkim break gives you the best of Gangtok and the high mountains nearby. You are picked up from New Jalpaiguri, Bagdogra, Siliguri or Pakyong and driven up along the Teesta river to Gangtok.
A full-day city tour covers Rumtek Monastery, Enchey Monastery, the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, Banjhakri Falls, the Flower Exhibition Centre and evening time on MG Marg. The next day you drive to Tsomgo (Changu) Lake at around 12,300 ft, often frozen in winter, and visit Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, with optional Nathula Pass (permit-based).
