Ride the classic Srinagar–Leh–Manali loop in the direction that suits acclimatisation best. From Srinagar you climb over Zoji La, through Drass and on to Kargil, then cross Namika La and Fotu La into Leh.
In Ladakh you ride Khardung La to Nubra and spend a full day visiting Turtuk, a Balti village by the Shyok river. Next comes Pangong Tso and the return to Leh via Chang La. The final leg follows the Manali–Leh highway over Tanglang La and the More Plains to Sarchu, then through the Atal Tunnel to Manali, where you get a free day before the overnight bus to Delhi.
