This honeymoon takes you to some of the most dramatic high-altitude landscapes in India. After arriving in Gangtok and visiting Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir, you head into North Sikkim to the village of Lachen.

At dawn you drive up through Chopta Valley to Gurudongmar Lake, one of the highest lakes in the world at over 17,000 ft, then descend to Lachung for the night. After returning to Gangtok you move on to Darjeeling for a half-day city tour of its monasteries, viewpoints and tea gardens before your departure.

01Day 1: Day 1: Welcome to Gangtok

Pickup and drive to Gangtok. Evening on MG Marg. Overnight in Gangtok.

02Day 2: Day 2: Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir

Excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir. Overnight in Gangtok.

03Day 3: Day 3: Gangtok to Lachen

Drive north to Lachen. Overnight in Lachen.

04Day 4: Day 4: Gurudongmar Lake – Transfer to Lachung

Early drive via Chopta Valley to Gurudongmar Lake, then on to Lachung. Overnight in Lachung.

05Day 5: Day 5: Lachung to Gangtok

Drive back to Gangtok. Overnight in Gangtok.

06Day 6: Day 6: Gangtok to Darjeeling – City Tour

Drive to Darjeeling for a half-day city tour. Overnight in Darjeeling.

07Day 7: Day 7: Departure

Drive down to Siliguri for your onward journey.
