Nilgiri Mountain Railway (Toy Train)
Part of the UNESCO-listed Mountain Railways of India, the toy train climbs from Mettupalayam to Ooty via Coonoor through tunnels and bridges in about 5 hours. The rack-and-pinion section below Coonoor is the most scenic. Seats are limited – book well ahead on IRCTC.
